Cuscuta indecora Choisy, Mém. Soc. Phys. Genève 9: 278. 1841.

Inflorescencias cimas sencillas o compuestas o las flores solitarias, flores 2–3.5 mm de largo, pedicelos 0.5–3.5 mm de largo, perianto papiloso; cáliz 1–2 mm de largo, unido en la base, lobos lanceolados, 0.4–1.3 mm de largo, agudos; corola 2.4–4.5 mm de largo, lobos lanceolados a triangulares, 1–1.6 mm de largo, apiculados, erectos, con ápices marcadamente inflexos; filamentos 0.3–0.5 mm de largo, anteras ovado-elípticas, 0.7 mm de largo; escamas infrastaminales 1–1.6 mm de largo; ovario 1 mm de largo, con estilopodio, estilos 1–1.8 mm de largo, incluidos. Fruto con apertura intraestilar.

Esperada en Nicaragua, maleza en áreas perturbadas; México a Panamá. Se distingue de C. saccharata principalmente por tener el ápice de los lobos de la corola inflexo y por la presencia del estilopodio.

    Infls. sencillas o compuestas, de 1 fl. solitaria o hasta ca. 20 fls. Fls. aromáticas, 2–3.5 mm, papilosas, sésiles o con pedicelo hasta ca. 4.4 mm; sépalos connatos, los lóbulos 1–1.8 mm, deltados a lanceolados, agudos en el ápice, enteros; corola campanulada, los lóbulos erectos, 2–3 mm, lanceolados a deltados, ± agudos e incurvados en el ápice, enteros, eglandulares.

    "Fls 5-merous, short-pedicellate in loose to compact glomerules; cal-lobes triangular, acute or somewhat obtuse, shorter than to about equaling the broad cor- tube; cor-lobes broadly triangular, erect or ascending, usually shorter than the tube, acute with inflexed tip; styles 0.5–1.5 mm; stigma capitate; fr depressed-globose, enveloped by the withered, calyptrate cor, evidently thickened around the styles, which appear to be set in a shallow pit surrounded by a collar; seeds mostly 4; 2n=30. On a wide variety of hosts; Ill. to N.D., w. to Calif., s. to Fla. and S. Amer."
