Fruits pale green or almost yellowish when mature, subglobose, 4–6.5 cm. long, 3.5–7 cm. wide, very distinctly acuminate-mammate at the apex, ± flattened below around junction of pedicel which is 2–3.3 cm. long; pyrenes brown, ± 1/2-globose, 3.7–4 cm. long, 3.7–4.5 cm. wide, 2–2.2 cm. thick, the wall thin, covered with ± obscure anastomosing ribs which become very evident and raised when dry.
Male flowers up to ± 6 per node; pedicels ± 1 cm. long; calyx pale green, splitting into 2 very concave sepals 7.5 mm. long, 6 mm. wide if not flattened out; petals 4, white, ovate, 1 cm. long, 7 mm. wide; stamens exceeding 100, the filaments cream, ± 4 mm. long; anthers deep yellow.
Leaves drying yellow-green; blades narrowly to broadly oblong-elliptic, 13.5–29 cm. long, 6.4–9 cm. wide, acuminate or abnormally rounded at the apex, cuneate at the base, coriaceous; petiole 1.1–1.4 cm. long.
Tree to 24 m. tall and girth attaining over 6 m., with a clean straight bole and a rounded crown; bark brownish grey or reddish brown, smooth or obscurely flaking into fairly thick irregular flakes; slash red, slowly exuding a pale yellow gummy latex.
