Rhizome creeping along ground or ascending trees, up to 20 m long and 10-15 mm in diameter. Indusium absent. Fertile frond erect, usually 2-pinnate. Stipe pale brown, 0.3-0.5 m long. Sterile frond erect, pinnate. Lamina 0.8-1.5 x 0.25-0.40 m. Pinnae linear, up to 270 x 30 mm.

Fertile fronds erect, 2-pinnate or in rarely pinnate; lamina 0.6-1.4 x 0.2-0.4 m, somewhat reduced basally; pinnae up to 0.25 m long, pinnately divided into narrowly linear segments adnate to rhachis or petiolate, glabrous above, up to 80 x 2 mm.
