Stem quadrangular, pubescent. Leaves broadly obovate or elliptic-oblong, densely pubescent or subglabrous, base cuneate or rounded, margin slightly undulate, apex obtuse or mucronate.

    Leaf blades orbiculate, obovate-orbiculate, or broadly rhombate, 1-4(-6) × 1-4(-6) cm, base round-ed or tapering, apex rounded, apiculate. Tepals 3-4 mm. Utricles 2-2.5 mm.

    Morphology

    Hojas pecioladas; pecíolo 0.2-1.8 cm de largo; lámina ovada a ampliamente obovada, 1-10 x 1-7 cm. Inflorescencias en espigas terminales, 7-95 cm de largo, pedunculadas. Flores 4-5 mm de largo. Sépalos 5, biseriados, los 2 externos hasta 5 mm de largo y los 3 internos hasta 4 mm de largo.
