Stems beset with short stiff glandular hairs.
Sepals elliptic-lanceolate, 2–3 mm. long, usually glandular.
Inflorescence racemose with a gradual transition from leaves to leafy bracts.
Seeds 0.5–0.8 mm. in diameter, dark maroon-brown, finely rugulose.
Capsules 3–8 mm. long, 2–3 mm. across, glandular, terminating in a very obvious persistent style, 3–4 mm. long.
Leaves petiolate, 3–5-foliolate; leaflets linear-lanceolate to obovate, up to 9 mm. long, 1–4 mm. wide, glabrous or nearly so above, scattered glandular-pubescent on the lower surface and margins; petiole 2–20 mm. long.
