Morphology

Small, tuberous perennial, with sprawling branches, ± 40 mm tall. Leaves succulent, hidden by broadly ovate, truncate, stipular scales, sometimes with a dark blotch at tip. Flowers solitary at branch tips, enclosed in apical scales, white, stamens ± 10. Seeds slightly colliculate.

Habitat

On rock outcrops.

Distribution

Southern Angola through Namibia to Richtersveld, northern Namaqualand, Bushmanland and Griqualand West.
