General Description

Very small, caespitose, epiphytic herbs up to about 3 cm. tall. Secondary stems up to about 1 mm. long. Leaves 9-15 mm. long and 2.5-6 mm. broad, obovate-spatulate, obtuse, attenuated into a petiole at the base. Inflorescence up to about 3 cm. long, few-flowered; peduncle slender, exceeding the leaves; flowers small. Dorsal sepal 2.5-3 mm. long and 3-4 mm. broad, suborbicular, transverse, strongly cucullate, obtuse. Lateral sepals 4-5.5 mm. long and together 2-2.5 mm. broad, elliptic to elliptic-oblong, connate nearly to their apices and with; the free parts acute. Petals 1.5-2 mm. long and 0.3-0.5 mm. broad, ligulate, obtuse or acute, falcate. Lip 2-2.5 mm. long and 0.5-1 mm. broad, with a large, thin, hood-shaped callus near the base, apex emarginater and the lobules, divergent. Column arciiate, broadly winged, the wings membranaceous and subquadrate.

Epífita, cespitosa; tallo 0.1 – 0.5 cm. Hoja terminal,conduplicada, 0.6–2.5 × 0.25–0.45 cm, elíptica aestrechamente obovada, cuneada, peciolada. Infl. ter-minal, erecta, laxa, consecutiva, flexuosa, racemosa,hasta ca. 4 cm (incluido el pedúnculo). Fls. resupinadas,los sépalos translúcidos amarillos, teñidos de rojo omorado, el labelo amarillo a rojo; sépalo dorsal ovado,2.5–5 × 3.5–6 mm expandido, profundamente cón-cavo, fusionado a los sépalos laterales por 0.5–1 mmpara formar una copa sepalina, el sinsépalo antrorso, 4–6 × 2.5–4 mm, ovado, bífido; pétalos 1.5–2 × 0.5–1 mm, oblongos; labelo 2–2.5 × 0.5–1 mm, ± oblongo, la base ancha, truncada, articulada al ápice, igual-mente ancho, del pie de columna, el ápice bífido, que forma 2 lóbulos ca. 0.5 mm, oblongos, subagudos, obtu-sos o redondeados, con un apículo corto, deflexo en el seno, el disco con un callo 1–2 mm, grueso, oblongo,arqueado, encorvado hacia adelante arriba de la base; columna erecta, 2–2.5 × 2.5 mm, ampliamente alada;polinios 2, ovoides.
