Petals oblong, 2.2–3.5 mm. long, 1.5–1.7 mm. broad, yellowish.
A spreading tree 5–15(–18) m. high; bole usually straight and clear of branches for several meters, up to 40 cm. in diameter; bark grey, spirally grooved, fairly smooth; branchlets rusty tomentose.
Leaves (3–)5–9(–13)-foliolate, opposite or subopposite; rachis 10–25 cm. long, somewhat semicylindric, ferrugineus tomentose; lateral petiolules 0.5–2.5 mm. long, terminal one 1–5 cm. long; leaflets oblong-ovate or elliptic, (7–)9–13(–16) cm. long, 4–7(–9) cm. broad, somewhat acuminate to submucronate at the apex, obtuse or subcordate and asymmetric at the base, margin entire, discolorous, young ones usually ferrugineus tomentose on both surfaces, mature ones tomentose or puberulent above, pubescent or tomentose beneath; midrib and lateral nerves pubescent on both surfaces but more so beneath with straight stiff hairs.
Inflorescences in terminal fascicles on the branchlets, spikes or spike-like, 6–15(–25) cm. long; axis tomentose; flowers glomerate, subsessile or with pedicels up to 3 mm. long.
Calyx-lobes ovate, ± 1 mm. long, puberulent and ciliate along the margin.
