Morphology

Seeds ellipsoid, 1.4 cm. long, 0.9 cm. wide, somewhat rugulose, dark brown, shiny.

    Fruits ellipsoid, 1.3–1.7 cm. long, 1–1.2 cm. diameter, yellow, fleshy and soft when fresh, slightly roughened when dried.

    Female flowers: pedicels 1.2–1.5 cm. long, minutely puberulous; sepals 5, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, 2–3 mm. long, 1–1.5 cm. wide, evenly pubescent without, sparingly so within; disc shallowly 5-lobed, glabrous; ovary 1-locular, ovoid-ellipsoid, smooth, glabrous, minutely gland-dotted; stylar column 0.5 mm. long; stigma capitate, 1.5 mm. across.

    Male flowers: pedicels 5–7 mm. long, minutely puberulous; sepals oblong, ovate-oblong or ovate, 1.5–2 mm. long, 0.5–1.2 mm. wide, minutely puberulous without and within, ciliate; stamens 4(–5), 6 mm. long, anthers 1 mm. long; disc obscurely quadrangular, 2 mm. diameter, thick, minutely puberulous.

    Petioles 1 cm. long; leaf-blade elliptic-oblong, 15–35 cm. long, 6–13 cm. wide, abruptly shortly obtusely acuminate, slightly asymmetrically rounded-cuneate, subentire, coriaceous, lateral nerves 10–12 pairs, ± looped just within the margin, tertiary nerves reticulate, slightly prominent above, more so beneath, glabrous and glossy above and beneath.
