About: Hibiscus tilliaceus L. 5 months agoThe taxonomic reference is different than what is stated here. At the top of the page, below the scientific name, it states the reference was from a 2017 paper on Cactaceae published in Systematics Initiative Vol. 36. However, this one is from Phytotaxa.

Sericanthe assimilis Sond. is listed in error in Tropicos and from there it was included in the Plant List. However, such a name has never existed. http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/tro-50331354 I have this on good authority (Elmar Robbrecht, expert in Sericanthe) that this name has never existed. And is probably just a computer error
